Finding a teacher
Use the Teachers page to see who you already learn with, discover new teachers, and send and track join requests.

The Teachers page
Teachers in the sidebar opens a page with two tabs.
My teachers
The people you already learn with, gathered from your enrollments and upcoming lessons, with an online indicator so you can see who is around.
Underneath sits your sent join requests, each with its current status:

|---|---|
| Pending | The teacher has not answered yet. A countdown shows how long the request stays open. |
| Accepted | You are connected — the course or lessons appear in your Studies hub (Courses tab). |
| Rejected | The teacher declined. You are free to ask someone else. |
| Expired | The request timed out without an answer. You can send a new one. |
Find
The discovery side. At the top is a short row of suggested teachers matched to your learning goal — exam preparation, travel, work, or general fluency — in the language you are studying. Below it is the full teacher directory, which you can filter.
If you have no teachers yet, the page opens on Find.
Looking at a teacher
Opening a teacher shows their profile inside the platform, without leaving for a public web page. You get their introduction, the languages and levels they teach, their availability, the classes they lead, and similar teachers if they are not the right fit.
Teacher Availability & The Free Week Board
When viewing a teacher's schedule, you can inspect their Free Week Board:
- 3-Week Horizon: View the teacher's open teaching windows for the current week plus the next two upcoming weeks.
- Continuous Window Blocks: Time is displayed in clear, continuous windows (such as "09:00 – 12:00") rather than confusing fragmented slices, making it easy to spot convenient times.
- Automatic Timezone Conversion: All displayed times are automatically converted to your local device timezone, so there is no need to calculate time differences manually.
- Direct Slot Booking: Depending on the teacher's configuration, you can either book an open slot immediately or send a booking request.
Sending a join request
Open the teacher's profile
From Find, or from the goal suggestions.
Choose to send a request
Use the join request action on the profile. You can also indicate interest in joining one of the teacher's active Classes if group learning is offered.
Say what you need
Mention your level, your goal, and roughly when you can study. Teachers accept far more often when they can see the request fits their schedule.
Send
The request appears immediately under My teachers as Pending.
Sending a join request is free and commits you to nothing — nothing is charged, and you can still change your mind after a teacher accepts. A join request is a request to work with that teacher. It is not a booking — once you are accepted, lesson times are arranged through your enrollment, class, and schedule. See Schedule & Live Sessions.
Why a teacher might not appear
Teachers appear in the directory only once their profile is genuinely ready — a photo, a completed profile, published availability, and the languages they teach. A teacher who has not finished setting up is not listed yet. If you know who you want to learn with, ask them directly for an invite code or a direct class invitation link instead; see If you have an invite code or link and Learning in Classes.
